Meet Our Doctor
D. Terrence Foster, MD – Medical Director
Dr. D. Terrence Foster was born in Jamaica, West Indies. He graduated from the University of the West Indies with honors and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry. He later attended the City University of New York where he earned a Masters Degree in Chemistry.
Dr. Foster went on to complete his Doctor of Medicine Degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine of Yeshiva University in New York, and completed his Internship at Jacobi Medical Center/Albert Einstein Hospital in New York. From there he went to New York University MedicalCenter/ Rusk Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine and completed his Residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
His acupuncture training was completed at the AmericanCollege of Acupuncture (NY), Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Shanghai Medicine University (China).
He completed his Fellowship in Electrodiagnostic Medicine (EMG) at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. Following the completion of his Fellowship, Dr. Foster worked as an Attending Physician and Clinical Instuctor at Emory University Hospitals, Wesley Woods Geriatric Hospital and the Center for Rehabilitation Medicine.
He is Board Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and is a Fellow of the AmericanAcademy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Dr. Foster is also a Diplomat of the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
He is a member of American Medical Association, American Association of Neuromuscular Electrodiagnostic Medicine, American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Georgia Medical Association and International Spine Interventional Society.
Dr. Foster has medical staff privileges at Gwinnett Health System, Henry Medical Center, North Fulton Regional Hospital, Piedmont Fayette Hospital, Rockdale Medical Center and Southern Regional Health System.
Dr. Foster is the Medical Director for The Rehabilitation Center at Southern Regional Health System in Riverdale, Georgia. He is also the Medical Director for the Center for Pain and Rehab Medicine in Stockbridge, Georgia.
